Since our founding in 2008 as a field installation company by our President, Chad Davis, and COO, Danicia Shaffer, we have embarked on an evolutionary journey, transforming into a trusted thought leader in utility metering technology upgrades. 2005
Chad Davis, president, saw the need for a nationally based installation company in the AMI (Advanced Metering) market and developed the idea of UMS.
2008
In partnership with Xtralight Manufacturing and Jerry Caroom, UMS was established with offices in Houston, TX and Hammond, LA
2015
Adapting to the changing workforce environment and our expanding presence, UMS opened its first satellite office in Raleigh, NC
2018
UMS celebrated its 10th anniversary in the utility metering sector
2018
Seeing a need for a financially sound solution in the MaaS (Metering as a Service) market, UMS developed netAMP™, which provides technical services across the entire lifecycle of the metering upgrade program under a single subscription model.

UMS opened its doors to our permanent corporate headquarters in Hammond, LA
