Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) provides many benefits, including greater efficiency, better customer services, and. greater insight into usage. However, utilities can encounter objections, roadblocks, challenges, and concerns along the way that can be internal or external to the utility, and can come at any and all phases of the project. Utilities need to recognize and address these issues proactively to get buy in from key stakeholders and expedite the approval process to get their AMI system installed and operational quickly and efficiently.
